TEN questions concerning sports and fitness – interview with Birte Scholz sports & health merchant, studio manager team düsseldorf and  apprentice at Prime Sports in Düsseldorf Oberkassel

Is there a special event from your childhood related to sports?

When I think back there’s none. So, no, there isn’t.

What was the reason to do some sports?

A very good friend of mine started an education at a fitness center. I was enthusiastic about that and decided for a dual study to become a Sports- and Health Trainer. Since then I haven’t been able to live without sports.

What’s your favorite sports and why?

I’m heart and soul when it comes to power training! – functional fitness & i´ m keen on dumbbell  training. To get to the limits every time anew! Additionally I love zumba! There I can exploit with lots of fun.

Where do you get your motivation from?

With the help of my personal goals which I want to achieve – and my training partner.

What kind of fitness exercises do you like most?

I prefer freestyle exercises – my all time favorites are squats and lunges.

How does your current training schedule look like?

I train three to four times a week, whole-body work-out also with dumbbells, combined with functional fitness like TRX and Power Plate. In additon to that I go jogging and do some zumba twice a week.

How do you feed on?

I try low carb for six days a week and once a week – mostly on Saturdays – I have kind of a Cheatday and I allow myself to have some of my beloved chocolate.

Three effective tips from you to our readers:

  • Healthy nutrition and sports are the essentials for a healthy lifestyle!
  • Believe in yourself!
  • Then you will make it!

What are your professional and sporting goals in the future?

I’d like to finish my Bachelor degree successfully to become a Health Manager, to develop further in order to reach my goals.

What’s your personal motto?

If there is a belief that can move mountains, so it’s the belief in your own power – never give up!
